At East Burwood Cricket Club, we believe the best partnerships are built the same way good cricket clubs are: through community, loyalty and people wanting to be part of something bigger than themselves.
As we head into an exciting new era for the Woods, we are proud to partner with local businesses and organisations that share our passion for community sport, local connection and long-term growth.
Established in 1886, East Burwood Cricket Club has been part of the fabric of Melbourne’s eastern suburbs for almost 140 years. Across generations, the club has provided a place for people to compete, connect and build lifelong friendships both on and off the field.
Today, the Woods continue to grow stronger than ever.
Heading into the 2026/27 season, East Burwood Cricket Club plans to field:• 4 to 5 senior men’s teams• 2 T20 teams• A veterans team• 2 rapidly growing winter cricket Teams• A developing junior pathway program
Our player base continues to expand each season, bringing together people of all ages, backgrounds and skill levels under a genuine one club culture.
Off the field, it is an incredibly exciting time around East Burwood Reserve.
This season will see the unveiling of our brand new state-of-the-art five lane training facility featuring retractable netting and lighting, representing a significant investment into cricket infrastructure at the club. In addition, plans are progressing for a future multi-million dollar pavilion Redevelopment and upgraded social facilities within the East Burwood sporting precinct. Combined with a growing player base, strong local support and an increasingly engaged online presence, East Burwood Cricket Club is entering one of the most exciting periods in its history.
Our club connects with hundreds of players, families, supporters and community members each week throughout the cricket season both in person and online. Through regular match day content, player announcements, sponsor shoutouts, event promotion and club updates, our social media platforms with over 1,200 collective followers, continue to grow and provide strong visibility for our partners across the local sporting community. 📱🏏
As a proudly family-oriented club, our reach extends well beyond the playing group itself. Parents, junior families, past players, supporters and members all play an active role in creating the welcoming and community-driven environment the Woods has become known for.
Off the field, East Burwood Cricket Club has developed a strong social culture with club events continuing to attract outstanding attendance throughout the year. Events such as our Past Players & Raffle Day, Ladies Day, Around the World Night, Trivia Night, Christmas Party and Presentation Night regularly bring together players, families, sponsors and supporters from across the wider community.
Our Past Players & Reverse Draw event alone saw an estimated 150 attendees through the clubrooms last season, creating significant exposure opportunities for our sponsors through physical advertising, direct engagement and sponsor presentations delivered throughout the evening.
Through match days, social media, club events, signage, apparel branding and community engagement, our sponsors become visible parts of a loyal and highly connected local network.
